Used Furniture Hub beds & bedroom furniture in Islamabad & Rawalpindi
Is a used Furniture Hub beds & bedroom furniture worth buying?
Furniture Hub builds and sells its own bedroom sets through showrooms in both cities, so the parts that actually fail on them — gas struts on a lift-up base, upholstery on a padded headboard, a moulding knocked off in a move — are all things a local hardware shop, upholsterer or carpenter deals with. What cannot be sorted out locally is the polish shade once a set has aged.
Made or assembled in Pakistan
Spares are widely stocked locally and most technicians in the twin cities have worked on these, so common faults are usually economic to repair.
Because Furniture Hub manufactures here and keeps showrooms in both cities, its wearing parts are trade items rather than spares: gas struts are bought by length and force, runners and handles by size, and an upholsterer will recover a headboard in a day. The original polish is the exception, so any new timber has to be colour-matched by eye.

Checking a used Furniture Hub beds & bedroom furniture
These are specific to Furniture Hub. The general beds & bedroom furniture checks apply too and are on the beds & bedroom furniture page.
Work the hydraulic base
On lift-up storage bases, raise the platform fully and let go: it should hold without creeping down, and both struts should push evenly. Struts are sold locally by length and force and are replaced in pairs, but check where the hinge plates bolt into the board, because a weak strut leaves the fixings taking the load.
Press the padded headboard
Press between the buttons or along the channels of an upholstered headboard and feel for wadding that has flattened to the board. Leatherette also splits along the top edge that faces the window first, and while an upholsterer in either city can recover the panel, it belongs in the condition grade rather than being ignored.
Check applied mouldings
Carved and turned detail on these sets is usually applied to the frame rather than cut from it, and it is what shears off when a bed goes through a doorway. A carpenter can copy the profile easily enough; matching the polish over an aged set is the part that shows.
Compare the shaded polish
Pull the side table away from the bed and lift the mattress at one corner, then compare the sheltered polish with the faces that have been in daylight. That difference is how much sun the set has taken, and it is why a piece added later never quite belongs.
What Furniture Hub beds & bedroom furniture are worth
- Almost everything that goes wrong on these sets is the repairable kind — struts, upholstery, applied mouldings — and because those trades sit in both cities, a tired but complete set rarely falls to the For Parts / Repair grade.
- Polish is the one thing nobody can supply, so uneven sun fade caps the grade even where the frame is sound, and it is what makes a colour-matched repair visible.
- Furniture Hub sets are widely owned here, so a used one is judged against plenty of similar stock rather than against scarcity, and condition rather than the badge does the separating.
General beds & bedroom furniture checks
These apply whatever the badge on the front says — the beds & bedroom furniture page covers them in full.
Rock the assembled frame
Stand at one corner of a made-up bed and push it side to side; a sound frame moves as one piece without a click. Play where the side rail bolts into the headboard usually means the fixing has torn out of the panel, which is a carpentry repair on solid wood and often terminal on particle board.
Pull the bed away from the wall
A bed stands undisturbed against a wall for years, so look at the back of the headboard, the two feet nearest the wall, and the underside of the base. Mud tracks running up from the skirting, pinholes, or a powdery line on the floor where the feet stand are deemak, and it will already be working its way towards the wardrobe.
Kneel on the middle of the base
Put your weight on the centre of the slatted base and watch what the slats do. They should stay seated with only slight give. Slats that bow sharply or jump out of their end caps, and a wide frame with no centre leg reaching the floor, both mean the base will hollow under a mattress and take the mattress down with it.
Lift the hydraulic storage base
On a storage bed, raise the base with one hand and let go halfway. It should hold where you leave it and come down slowly. A base that drops, or that has to be propped, has spent gas struts, and struts are replaced as a matched pair rather than singly.
Check the dressing mirror edges
View the mirror at a shallow angle against a light and follow its edges for black creep in the silvering, which spreads and cannot be reversed. Press the glass gently in its frame as well, because a mirror loose in its rebate rarely survives being carried down stairs.
Measure the inside rail width
Measure rail to rail and head to foot rather than trusting the words king or queen, because locally made frames vary. A frame whose internal size does not match a standard mattress narrows the number of people who can actually use it.
