Sell your used Office Furniture in Islamabad & Rawalpindi
Who buys used office furniture in Islamabad?
Office furniture comes to market on a deadline: a Blue Area office gives up a floor, a company downsizes, or a lease ends and the premises must be handed back empty. That timing is what shapes the sale, because desks have to be dismantled and carried down before a handover date rather than whenever a buyer turns up. Free doorstep pickup with cash paid at collection fits that timetable.

What we check on a used office furniture
These are the checks that decide the grade — and the same ones worth running yourself before you accept any offer for your office furniture.
Sit and watch the height
Set the chair high, sit down with your full weight and stay there a minute or two. A gas cylinder on its way out sinks slowly and steadily. Cylinders are a standard part matched by taper and stroke length, so it is a fix rather than a write-off, but it is the fault to expect on any used revolving chair.
Turn the chair upside down
Look at the five-star base where each arm meets the hub, especially on nylon bases, for hairline cracks that open under load. Then spin every castor; a seized one scores floors and is usually just hair wound round the axle.
Work the tilt and its lock
Rock back, lock the tilt upright, and wind the tension knob from one end of its travel to the other. A tilt that will not lock, or a knob that spins without changing anything, means the mechanism is finished, and on most chairs it is riveted to the seat pan.
Press the mesh back flat-handed
Push into the middle of a mesh back with an open palm. Sound mesh springs back evenly. A sagging pocket, or fraying where the fabric is clamped into the frame edge, means the mesh has stretched, and it cannot be re-tensioned on most models.
Check the desk underside
Look under the melamine top at the edge banding, around the cable grommet, and at the screw fixings into the leg frame and modesty panel. Swollen board along a screw line means the desk has already been taken apart and re-fixed once, and it will not hold a third time.
Load a filing cabinet drawer
Pull each drawer right out with weight in it. Runners should not sag or grate at full extension, only one drawer should open at a time if the anti-tilt interlock still works, and the keys should be with the cabinet, since replacements are cut from a code on the lock face.
What raises the price of used office furniture
- A steel or aluminium leg frame under the desk, since a metal frame takes being unbolted and re-fitted repeatedly where an all-board desk loses its screw holes the second time.
- Chairs with a gas cylinder that holds, an uncracked five-star base and all five castors present.
- Desks and workstations that knock down flat, since a one-piece executive table has to clear a lift or a stairwell whole.
- Neutral finishes and standard desk sizes, which drop into an existing office instead of forcing the room to be rebuilt around them.
- Filing cabinets and pedestals that still have their keys, and workstation panels that still have their posts, feet and trims.
What makes an item For Parts rather than resale
- A cracked five-star base, or a tilt mechanism that has torn its plate out of the seat pan.
- Melamine desk tops swollen and delaminating along the edge banding, which cannot be cleaned or repaired invisibly.
- Filing cabinets with collapsed drawer runners, or rust through the base panel.
- Mesh backs torn or heavily stretched across the lumbar area, which is not re-tensioned economically on a used chair.
Brands we see most
These are the office furniture brands that come up most often in the Islamabad and Rawalpindi second-hand market. We trade others too — this is what typically turns up, not a list of what is in stock today.
