Used & new Kitchen Appliances for sale in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

Where can I buy used kitchen appliances in Islamabad?

A checked used kitchen appliance is one that has been run on its own power with its attachments fitted, rather than looked over on a shelf. That means a microwave that genuinely heats water, a hob whose burners all light from the ignition, a blender whose jar does not weep at the collar. Grading reflects both function and how complete the set is. Used appliances carry a 15-day checking warranty.

What to check before buying a used kitchen appliances

These are the checks that set the condition grade on anything we list — and the ones worth running yourself wherever you buy.

Heat a cup of water

Put a mug of water in the microwave and run it for a minute. Properly hot water means the magnetron is still doing its job. Lukewarm water after a full minute, with the turntable turning and the lamp lit as normal, is a dying magnetron rather than a settings problem.

Check the microwave door

Look at the three door latches, the flat face where the door meets the cavity, and the small mica panel on the side wall. A door that does not close square, or a mica cover burnt through and arcing, is a safety matter and not something to negotiate down on.

Run a blender under load

Empty motors always sound fine. Fit the jar, add water and run it: a bearing on its way out whines, and a worn drive coupling slips or rattles. Then check the blade collar for seepage, because a jar that weeps at the base cannot be fixed without the correct seal.

Light every burner

Each burner on a hob or cooker should light from its own ignition, hold a steady blue flame and not lift off the cap. Yellow, uneven flames usually mean blocked ports, which clean up. A burner that stays alight only while the knob is held has a failed thermocouple.

Look inside the oven cavity

Switch the oven on and confirm the elements glow evenly top and bottom, then check the door glass, the hinges and the seal. A sagging door lets heat escape and is what makes an old oven cook unevenly. Heavy flaking of the enamel inside is difficult to make presentable again.

Count the attachments

Small appliances lose value fastest through missing parts. Check for the correct jars and lids, the chopping and kneading blades, the pusher, and any trays or racks. On discontinued models these are hard to source separately, so an incomplete set is worth less than the same appliance complete.

Brands we see most

These are the kitchen appliances brands that come up most often in the Islamabad and Rawalpindi second-hand market. We trade others too — this is what typically turns up, not a list of what is in stock today.

Buying used kitchen appliances — frequently asked questions

Is a used microwave safe to buy?

It is, provided the door and seal are intact. The risks are mechanical rather than mysterious: a door that does not close square, bent latches, or a burnt mica waveguide cover that lets the cavity arc. Check those, then run a cup of water for a minute to confirm the magnetron still heats. Rust through the cavity floor is the other thing to avoid.

What should I check on a second-hand blender or juicer?

Run it with liquid in the jar rather than empty. Listen for a bearing whine and watch whether the drive coupling slips under load. Then look at the blade collar for seepage and the jar for hairline cracks near the base. Finally count the attachments, because a missing pusher or lid on a discontinued model is often impossible to replace.

Do used built-in hobs and hoods need new fittings?

Usually yes, at least the gaskets and clips. A hob cut out of a worktop rarely keeps its mounting brackets and sealing strip, and a hood may arrive without ducting or grease filters. None of that is difficult to obtain, but confirm what is included before delivery, because the installation depends on those small parts being there.
