Used & new Gym & Fitness Equipment for sale in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

Where can I buy used gym & fitness equipment in Islamabad?

Cardio machines hide their condition until they are loaded. Powering a treadmill up proves nothing; taking it to a running speed with someone on it tells you about the belt, the deck and the motor. Weight equipment is the opposite, with cables, rods and welds in plain sight. Every machine carries one of the four grades, so a frame with a dead controller is listed as For Parts / Repair. Delivery covers both cities.

What to check before buying a used gym & fitness equipment

These are the checks that set the condition grade on anything we list — and the ones worth running yourself wherever you buy.

Run the treadmill five minutes

Walk on it, then take it up to a running speed. The belt should keep pace with your footfall instead of hesitating each time you push off, and it should stay centred rather than creeping to one side. Slipping under load means a worn belt or slack drive belt, and a motor housing that smells hot after five minutes is nearing its end.

Feel under the belt edge

Slide a hand under the side of the running belt onto the deck. It should feel slick. A dry, rough or gritty deck is what kills treadmill motors and control boards, because the motor spends its life dragging the belt across friction. Some decks can be turned over or replaced, but only on machines that are still supported.

Cycle the incline through travel

Raise the incline to maximum and bring it back down. Grinding, stalling near the top, or a bang as it drops points at the lift actuator, which is specific to the model and often the part that finishes an otherwise sound machine. Check the console keys all respond and that the magnetic safety key is present, since many machines will not start without it.

Follow the weight-stack cable

Run your fingers along the whole cable and look at every pulley. Broken strands, a flattened section, or a pulley that has cut a groove into the cable mean replacement, and these cables are made to length for each machine. Lift the stack by hand: it should rise and fall smoothly on its guide rods without rocking or scraping.

Count the pins and adjustments

Bench ladders, seat posts, safety catches on a rack and weight-stack selector pins are the parts that go missing, and the equipment is unusable without them. Work every adjustment through its positions, and check that the rack's safety bars seat properly in their holes rather than being wedged in place.

Check plate bores and bars

Weight plates come with either a standard or an Olympic bore, and a set mixed between the two will not fit one bar. Count that the set is complete and that dumbbells come in matched pairs. Roll the barbell along a flat floor to see whether it is bent, and check that the sleeves still spin freely.

Brands we see most

These are the gym & fitness equipment brands that come up most often in the Islamabad and Rawalpindi second-hand market. We trade others too — this is what typically turns up, not a list of what is in stock today.

Buying used gym & fitness equipment — frequently asked questions

My treadmill starts, then stops on its own after ten minutes. Is it worth selling?

Usually yes, though graded as For Parts / Repair rather than working stock. Cutting out after a warm-up period is the thermal protection in the motor or controller doing its job, and the cause is often a worn belt and dry deck making the motor work far harder than it should. Say so plainly when you send photographs, along with the make and model.

Do you buy a complete gym setup when a gym closes?

Yes. A closing floor is usually a mix: plate-loaded frames, benches, racks and free weights, which hold up well because there is nothing electronic in them, and cardio machines, which stand or fall on whether the console and board still work. Send a list over WhatsApp by type and make with photographs of the frames and consoles, a count of plates and dumbbells, and a note of the flooring, mirrors and lockers if those are going too.

Are rusty weight plates and dumbbells still worth selling?

Surface rust on cast iron is normal and cleans back, so a complete set stays saleable. What lowers value is deep pitting, flaking around the bore that stops a plate seating properly on a bar, and sets broken up so that sizes are missing. Rubber-coated plates fail differently: check for splitting where the rubber meets the metal.
