Sell your used Kids & Nursery Furniture in Islamabad & Rawalpindi
Who buys used kids & nursery furniture in Islamabad?
Nursery furniture has a short life in one household: a cot is outgrown in two or three years while the frame is still sound. Cots, bunk beds, changing tables and study desks therefore move steadily between families across Islamabad and Rawalpindi, usually to a household expecting a second child or shifting a toddler out of the parents' room. Pickup is free at your door, with a price range the same day.

What we check on a used kids & nursery furniture
These are the checks that decide the grade — and the same ones worth running yourself before you accept any offer for your kids & nursery furniture.
Measure the gaps between slats
On a cot, a standard drink can should not pass between two slats, and the spacing should be even the whole way round. Uneven gaps, a missing slat or one that has been glued back in mean the cot has already failed once.
Push the assembled bunk sideways
With the bunk standing, push the upper frame along its length and then across it, and do the same at a cot's corner posts with the side rail at its highest setting. These are the joints that carry a sleeping child. Sway with a click, or a gap opening at a post, is loosened knock-down fittings; a bolt that spins without biting means the hole is stripped and the post will not hold.
Lift the mattress base
Take the mattress out and lift the base board off its brackets. Check the metal brackets and screws that carry the base at each height setting for bending or rust, and look at the underside of the board for swelling or a tide mark left by liquid sitting there.
Check the mattress underneath
Cot mattresses take the worst of it. Stains, a sour smell or a hollow in the middle mean it should be replaced rather than reused, and a mattress that has been soaked usually tells you the board beneath it has swollen too.
Check the bunk guard rail
The guard rail on an upper bunk should sit well clear of the mattress top and be bolted rather than slotted into place. Rock the ladder in its brackets as well: rungs that turn in their sockets and hook-on ladders with worn hooks are the parts that fail first.
Count the fittings
Flat-pack cots, bunks and study desks are held together by model-specific bolts and barrel nuts. Count them against the holes and ask for the Allen key and instruction sheet. On a discontinued model, missing fittings mean matching threads by hand at a hardware shop.
What raises the price of used kids & nursery furniture
- Complete original fittings, the Allen key and the assembly sheet, since these frames are hard to rebuild without them.
- Convertible designs, a cot that becomes a toddler bed or a bunk that splits into two singles, stay useful to a household for longer.
- Solid wood frames can be taken apart and retightened repeatedly, while laminated chipboard strips at the bolt holes and swells if it gets damp.
- A clean, odour-free mattress included with the cot, or a clear statement that there is none.
- Plain finishes suit any child, while character themes and strong colours narrow the pool of buyers.
What makes an item For Parts rather than resale
- A cracked or split rail, or a slat glued back into place, because a child's bed carries loads a repaired joint cannot be trusted with.
- Chipboard that has swollen or crumbled around the bolt holes, which no amount of retightening will fix.
- Missing height brackets or knock-down fittings on a model no longer made, leaving nothing to source spares from.
- A drop-side or folding mechanism whose latch no longer locks positively on both sides.
