Sell your used Miscellaneous & Other Items in Islamabad & Rawalpindi
Who buys used miscellaneous & other items in Islamabad?
This page exists for the items that do not fit the other categories: a safe, a suitcase set, an aquarium, a telescope, the shop fittings left over from a business. They are worth asking about rather than discarding, because what decides value is rarely the category and almost always whether the item is complete, testable and identifiable by a model number. Photographs sent on WhatsApp are enough to start, and pickup covers both cities.

What we check on a used miscellaneous & other items
These are the checks that decide the grade — and the same ones worth running yourself before you accept any offer for your miscellaneous & other items.
Find the item's own adapter
Adapters, remotes, lids, feet, brackets and lens caps belong with the item rather than in the seller's drawer, and a proprietary power supply is the usual gap. Read the voltage, current and polarity printed on the brick against the label on the item, since a generic adapter of the wrong polarity may already have done its damage.
Open the battery compartment
Anything stored for years with cells left inside should be opened before it is judged on anything else. Leaked alkaline crust creeps from the springs along the wires to the board, and once it has reached the board the item is usually finished however new the outside looks.
Lock it with the door open
On a safe, cash box, trunk or filing cabinet, throw the bolts several times with the door standing open, using the key and the code both, and check that a second key exists. One key and no combination, or a code nobody remembers, means the only way in is a drill, and a drilled safe is just a box.
Roll the case over a kerb
Wheel a suitcase across a tiled joint and a doorway kerb, listening for the rumble of a flat-spotted or seized wheel, then run the telescopic handle out to full extension and lean on it. A handle that will not lock at each stop, and zip tape that has split away from its teeth, are the two faults with no spares behind them on most cases.
Feel the tank's silicone seams
On an aquarium or terrarium, run a fingernail down the inside silicone bead in each corner: an edge you can catch, or black spotting under the bead, means it needs resealing before it will hold water again. Chips in the rim of a glass panel and crazing in acrylic spread once the tank is filled and cannot be repaired.
Look through the optics
With the caps off, hold a telescope, binocular, microscope or camera lens up to a bright patch of sky, never the sun, and look through the front element at an angle. Fine white webbing across the glass is fungus, which etches the coating and stays after cleaning, and a coloured ring at the edge of a cemented lens is the glue separating; then rack the focuser both ways feeling for slack.
What raises the price of used miscellaneous & other items
- An item identifiable by make and model, whose spares or consumables are still sold, is worth more than an anonymous equivalent in better cosmetic shape.
- Being demonstrable on the day counts heavily: something that can be switched on, opened or run is valued on what it does, while an untested item is valued on the assumption that it needs work.
- Original boxes, keys, manuals and adapters matter more on odd items than on mainstream ones, because there is no aftermarket to replace them from.
- Sorted, complete lots are worth more than mixed boxes, since nobody wants to pay for pieces they must then dispose of.
- Size and weight work against value, because a one-off that takes three people and a pickup to shift carries that removal with it, while a thing one person can carry out does not.
What makes an item For Parts rather than resale
- An item with no way to power or demonstrate it and no model number to identify it can only be graded For Parts / Repair.
- Battery leakage that has reached the circuit board, and water that has dried into the electronics, both end the item regardless of how it looks.
- A safe or lockable case with neither its keys nor its combination has to be drilled open, and a drilled safe no longer locks.
- Single-use and safety-dated goods that have passed their date, and counterfeit goods of any kind, have no resale route at all.
