Used & new Industrial & Commercial Machinery for sale in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

Where can I buy used industrial & commercial machinery in Islamabad?

Buying used plant is mostly about evidence. A machine that can be started from cold, put under load and shown to hold its readings is a different proposition from one simply turned over in a yard. Ask what work it last did, whether parts for that make are still stocked locally, and what tooling, control panel and starter come with it. Grades run down to For Parts / Repair.

What to check before buying a used industrial & commercial machinery

These are the checks that set the condition grade on anything we list — and the ones worth running yourself wherever you buy.

Put a real load on it

An unloaded machine tells you little. On an air compressor, time it up to cut-out pressure, then stop it and watch the gauge: a receiver that bleeds down within minutes has leaking valves, unions or a worn non-return valve. On a driven machine, load the spindle or the feed and listen for the motor bogging down.

Check the floor, not the machine

Machines get wiped down before a viewing; the floor underneath does not. A dark patch under the sump, gearbox or hydraulic ram records a leak that has been running a long time. Fresh paint on a gearbox casing or a cylinder head usually hides the trace of that leak rather than a restoration.

Compare the hour meter with the wear

Hour meters are the odometer of this category and are swapped just as freely. Read it, then look at the controls: handwheel knurling worn smooth, polished slideways, pedals rubbed bare. Low hours on a machine with heavily worn controls means the meter has been changed or left disconnected, and the reading is worth nothing.

Wind the handwheels and feel the backlash

On a lathe or milling machine, turn each handwheel back and forth. The free movement before the slide actually travels is backlash in the leadscrew and nut, and a large amount means the machine can no longer hold a size. Check the bedways for scoring and for a worn dip near the chuck, which is where the work has been done.

Read the plate for supply and starter

The rating plate gives the kilowatts, the phase and the full-load current, which decides whether a site can run the machine at all. Ask whether the starter, contactors and overload relay are included, since a motor above a few kilowatts needs proper starting gear and a machine arriving without its panel is not ready to work.

Look inside the pressure vessel's drain

Open the drain valve at the bottom of an air receiver. Water should come out, because a tank drained regularly has some. A drain left shut for years means the vessel has been standing in its own condensate and corroding from the inside, which cannot be seen from outside and cannot be repaired.

Brands we see most

These are the industrial & commercial machinery brands that come up most often in the Islamabad and Rawalpindi second-hand market. We trade others too — this is what typically turns up, not a list of what is in stock today.

Buying used industrial & commercial machinery — frequently asked questions

How is a heavy machine collected from an upper floor or a narrow workshop?

Access is settled before anything else. Send the weight from the rating plate, the floor level, the width of the doorway or stairwell, and whether a vehicle can reach the door. Free doorstep pickup covers the collection itself, but plant that needs dismantling or lifting has to be planned, so those details over WhatsApp save a wasted visit.

Is a machine with a seized motor or engine worth selling?

Often yes, graded as For Parts / Repair. The frame, gearbox, control panel, tooling and hydraulics are all separately useful, and on a common make the seized unit itself has value as a core for rebuilding. What lowers it further is plant that has stood outdoors for years, with a corroded loom and water sitting in the tanks.

Does it matter that the machine is a reconditioned import?

It matters mainly for parts. A great deal of the plant working in Pakistan arrived as a used import, and that is normal rather than a fault. What decides value is whether the make and model are common enough here that a fitter has seen one before and consumables can be found, or whether it is a lone example nobody stocks parts for.
